Biotechnology can defeat famine

Article Abstract:

Agricultural biotechnology may be used in environmental protection and to address starvation and malnutrition. Advancements should be shared with small-scale farmers to boost farmland productivity. Agricultural biotechnology can be used to support food demand which is projected to double in the next 35 years. Experts should ensure the proper training of extension workers and scientists in third world countries as well as encourage policies concerning consumer protection and government research.

Biotechnology can defeat famine

Article Abstract:

Malnutrition and starvation continue to affect the human population due to famine and the continued rise in the population. These problems can be solved by using biotechnology to increase food production. Studies conducted by groups such as The Carter Center and Sasakawa Africa Assn have shown that proper planting and weed control procedures as well as the use of new seed varieties can result to a significant increase in harvests.
