Cloning: central planning of the 21st century?

Article Abstract:

French novelist Michel Houellebecq's "The Elementary Particles" looks at the 20th century cultural revolution that resulted in liberated people aimlessly looking for some form of recognition, which in turn led to the advance of consumerism. Possibly this form of "market society," exhausted from consumerism, yet still consumed with youth and immortality, will turn to the relative comfort and conformism of cloning.

Elie Wiesel believes that history should always be revisited to ensure that past mistakes are not repeated. He believes that remembering history will promote awareness and that childern, fear and education offer hope for a better future. Wiesel received the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize for his achievements in keeping the world from forgetting the lessons of the Holocaust.
