Common cold or the flu: which is worse?
Article Abstract:
The common cold leads to cough, sore throat and fever with main symptoms being watering and congested nose. Bed rest and aspirin cures influenza, but medicines should be administered according to the symptoms. The flu is a severe cold with high fever and aches the whole body. Its treatment includes fluids and acetaminophen or ibuprofen (not aspirin). Flu is contagious as it spreads by sneezing, handshaking, kissing and smoking. Those who cannot avoid contacts (drivers, police, tellers, for example) should take the vaccine.

President Clinton shouldn't push needy into the cold
Article Abstract:
Pres Bill Clinton has done a great disservice to the middle and low-income groups by reducing the budget for the low-income energy assistance program (LIHEAP) to $1.319 billion. The LIHEAP project was initiated to benefit the low-income groups, handicapped and elderly citizens by providing them home energy at subsidized rates. The project needs more funding to efficiently serve the disadvantaged sections of society.
