Democracy as a universal value
Article Abstract:
The idea of democracy originated in ancient Greece, and was seriously put into practice before being replaced by more authoritarian forms of government. Thereafter the emergence of democracy was gradual, but the idea of it as a universal commitment is a product of the twentieth century. Democracy is intrinsically important in human life, has an instrumental role in generating political incentives and has a constructive function in forming values.

Article Abstract:
Applying economics to family values was discussed using insights on the relationship between family and market. Market plays an important role in family values and work ethics. Market programs interfere with parental influence and prevent values from being transmitted to succeeding generations. The effect can be interpreted as a shock to the system and upsets the balance between the family and the market.
