ENCOUNTERS WITH THE PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE: A PERSONAL MEMOIR
Article Abstract:
The civil service system of the UK is discussed by a former civil servant. There were two difficulties in this system which were to overspend or underspend. Each of these indiscretions presented different punishments to the transgressor. It was important to all civil servants to avoid a meeting with the Public Accounts Committee.

Article Abstract:
Local public spending and strategies in the United Kingdom are examined in this article. It was found that policies of local boards were predominated by the language of the strategies involved.
