Economic integration in quest of law
Article Abstract:
China's role in expanding international economic integration may be in danger due to ideological differences with other nations, but the country is reforming both its law and economic policies in order to aid integration. The end of the Cod War has sped up the pace of integration, and nations need to realize that short-term political disputes should not be a primary factor in dealing with China. Such a realization would benefit the global economy. China's relations with the World Trade Organization and other international economic entities are discussed.

The investment laws of Hong Kong under "one country, two systems"
Article Abstract:
China's 'one country, two systems' policy becomes effective in Hong Kong after its handover to Chinese rule in July 1, 1997. The policy ensures the continuance of Hong Kong's social and economic system for 50 years despite its return to Chinese rule. It also preserves rights involving property ownership and maintenance of the Hong Kong dollar as the former crown colony's legal tender.
