Ethics and reality in environmental discourses
Article Abstract:
This article examines engaging in environmental discourse and representational thinking on behalf on non-human life, future generations, and excluded populations. The author focuses on the ethics of communication when speaking on behalf of those who cannot communicate, and maintains environmental discourse must remain rational, though at times cannot avoid being based upon assumptions.

The Cartegena Protocol on Biosafety and the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants, are the two environmental treaties currently under negotiation. The economic factors that these companies face has to be understood in order to understand the position of the industries on this issue.

Designing green taxes in a political context: from optimal to feasible environmental regulation
Article Abstract:
The reimbursement of existing tax revenues is necessary in order to design green taxes which are well formulated to achieve the desired effect. The clauses of this reimbursement, its advantages and limitations which state the difficulty involved in putting this system into practices are presented.
