Inside/outside vs. left pole / mainstream
Article Abstract:
The 'Inside/Outside' strategy, working inside the system for dismantling it had created liberated zones, speak truth to power, challenge the status quo, gain a livelihood, expropriate resources and simultaneously work outside the system to build independent alternative revolutionary institutions, to form a network of such institutions and sustain a vibrant oppositional counterculture. Left Pole/Mainstream, a strategic dictum expressed by well-respected academicians and political comrades is reviewed.

Article Abstract:
Urban myths are the primary stories of an urban or inner city sub culture and the myths convey political and moral values. Urban mythology with its attendance science fiction motifs is the mythology of the wretched of the earth and is their social critique of the existing political and economic arrangements and while African American heterodox Islam offers science fiction motifs it is the Sunni and Shi'a belief systems which inspire works of Islamic science fiction.

Brothas gonna work it out! Hip Hop philanthropy, black power vision, and the future of the race
Article Abstract:
The deep rift between the older Black Power generation of men and the younger Hip Hop generation is discussed and an attempt is made to understand the cause of the rift and promote healing dialogue. It is felt that the ties that bind are stronger than issues that separate the generations.
