Into Africa

Article Abstract:

Africa is becoming the arena for the latest chapter in the post-Cold War realignment of global economics and geopolitics where phenomenal economic development and greater international engagement by China are creating new avenues for alliances as well as models for African states. Governments from Cape Town to Cairo are sensing opportunities to be explored, while for China the economic imperative of access to raw materials as well as the political advantages of having ties with Africa cannot be underestimated.

China challenge

Article Abstract:

The growth in the scale, scope and speed of China's economy is similar to the growth in the Japanese economy a few years back that exceed the phases of industrial development in the U.S. and Japan . It is felt that the Chinese firms are moving faster and developing innovation capabilities to help them to compete with western companies very fast unlike Japan who took the sequential route for progress.
