On the rights of citizens

Article Abstract:

The Constitution of China, formulated in 1982, corrected some of the excessively absurd contents of the 1975 and 1978 constitutions, but its statements on human rights are still inadequate and fail to provide guarantees for basic civil rights and personal freedom. Studies reveal that the 1.3 billion citizens of China look forward to a future constitution of the People's Republic of China explicitly stating that civil rights are paramount.
