Organizational culture and New York state employees' work-family conflict: gender differences in balancing work and family responsibilities

Article Abstract:

Marked gender differences were observed in terms of work-family conflict at the Department of Social Services. The number of female employees who have attended to issues concerning family is higher compared to that of male employees. Such finding makes women the first primary care givers in families. Compared to male employees, female employees tend to encounter more problems with regards to balancing work and family responsibilities.
