Popular capitalism: we are Wall Street
Article Abstract:
US Ambassador to France Felix G. Rohatyn preaches the benefits of the American model of social and economic structure, saying that it plays a crucial factor in the success of financial markets. He cites the concept of popular capitalism as the main driver of economic growth in the US, as more and more Americans invest in stocks. According to Rohatyn, stocks now represent a bigger share of personal wealth than homes, with individual investors holding the most number of stocks and bonds. Rohatyn also praises the safety net provided by the US economic and social structure for social protection such as age-old security and health insurance.

The pursuit of happines under socialism and capitalism
Article Abstract:
The pursuit of happiness is social, hence, the type of government that rules a society will inherently limit or encourage it. People living in capitalist states are better off than people living in socialist countries because the former are allowed more freedom to regulate their activities towards material or personal impovement. Capitalism recognizes the individuality of humans and provides for diverse methods by which individuals may advance themselves. Socialism, on the other hand, promotes egalitarianism which seeks to create a classless society which does not allow for individual differences.
