Regionalism
Article Abstract:
Regionalism, which was a major social force in the early part of the 20th century, is the fight between government and welfare. Political governments have always opposed the growth of regional tendencies, while cultural scholars believe that nationalism is the offshoot of the cultural integration of diverse regional groups. Regionalism underwent changes including political diversities, cultural heterogeneity and parochialism, which ultimately reduced its impact by the middle of the 20th century.

Rope beds
Article Abstract:
Elmer Sakach collects rope beds and restores some for customers. The beds are typically massive pieces and in pioneer days could be broken down to fit in the bottoms of wagons. Sakach thinks collectors like antique beds because of their place in early homes as an important part of life and death.
