Response: toward a critical sociology of policy analysis
Article Abstract:
Sanford Schram's criticism of the book,' Critical Theory, Public Policy, and Planning Practice,' is inaccurate and overlooks most of its distinctive arguments. The book does not depend totally on Habermas's critical theory as criticized by Schram, as it probes policy making by taking into account the value of Haberman's sociological work on policy development. The book's empirical approach to critical social theory must be assessed in the light of existing literature on policy analysis.
