This article examines international efforts to manage the global AIDs epidemic, focusing on the affordable distribution of antiretroviral drugs in developing countries. Issues include a the establishment of an international fund to buy the drugs at the best prices, Western aid in improving poorer countries' infrastructure to better disperse them, and the ability of governments to devote resources to this challenge.
