Article Abstract:

Law states that administrative departments for environmental protection under the people's governments above the county level exercises unified supervision over the prevention and control of the atmospheric pollution. The state council and the local people's governments at various levels to incorporate the protection of the atmospheric environment into national economic and social development plans.

A law is formulated which applies to the territory of the People's Republic of China and other sea areas under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China. 'Environment' as used in this law refers to the total body of all natural elements and artificially transformed natural elements affecting human existence and development.
