A comparison of quality of life in obese individuals with and without binge eating disorder

Article Abstract:

The binge eating disorder (BED) in obese individuals is associated with a greater degree of impairment in quality of life (QOL) than obesity alone is investigated. Results revealed that obese individuals with BED scored significantly higher than non-BED participants on each of the subscales and on the total scale of the impact of weight on quality of life (IWQOL- Lite).

Placebo response in binge eating disorder

Article Abstract:

The placebo responders (PRs) are compared to nonresponders (NRs) to investigate the attributions and the course of binge eating disorder (BED) following PR. The results have shown variable stability in the BED diagnosis as PRs have displayed less severe pathology than NRs.
