A comparison of rapists and sexual murderers on demographic and selected psychometric measures
Article Abstract:
Sexual murderers and rapists who are about to undergo treatment in prison for sexual offending behavior are compared. It is observed that the sexual murderers are socially isolated and are single at the time of the offense, have more stable upbringing, higher self-esteem compared to the rapists, the rapist have more violent convictions, are high on paranoid suspicion and resentment.

Comparison of sex offenders to nonoffenders on selected psychological measures
Article Abstract:
Research compares the psychology and mental health of child molesters to that of non-offenders in the areas of self-esteem, empathy for victims, emotional loneliness, and views concerning children and sex. Results suggest differences in assertiveness and cognitive distortions in low- and high- deviancy sex offenders.

Examining the impact of mixing childmolesters and rapists in group-based cognitive- behavioral treatment for sexual offenders
Article Abstract:
The study assessed the benefits among sexual offenders who displayed recidivism and victimized adults or children or both gained in group-based cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT). Results revealed that a group combination and composition did not affect the outcome.
