A descriptive epidemiology of screen-based media use in youth: A review and critique
Article Abstract:
A study aims to estimate the prevalence and dose of television (TV) viewing, video game playing and computer use and to assess age-related and secular trends in TV viewing among youth aged 18 years and below. Results demonstrate that media-based inactivity, particularly TV viewing, is perhaps being unfairly implicated in the 'epidemic' of youth sedentariness and its role in the etiology of youth overweight and obesity may also be overemphasized.

Direct and vicarious victimization at school and at home as risk factors for suicidal cognition among Italian adolescents
Article Abstract:
The cross-sectional predictors of suicidal cognition focusing on the unique influence of 'direct victimization' at school by peers and at home by parents are examined. Studies indicate that older girls are more at risk of suicidal cognition than boys, and relational victimization at school is also a risk factor.
