Assessment of condom use in men and women
Article Abstract:
A review of how the male condoms use is assessed in research studies and how assessment of condom use can be improved is illustrated. Given the magnitude of the AIDS epidemic and the ongoing challenges to public health posed by STDs and unplanned pregnancy, designing improved methodology for measuring condom use behaviors is clearly an important pursuit.

Women at risk for HIV from a primary partner: balancing risk and intimacy
Article Abstract:
Woman-controlled technologies and "negotiated safety" behavior are possibly the best means for Hispanic American women to decrease risk of HIV infection from their primary sexual partners. Use of vaginal microbicides, female condoms, and behavioral changes has shown significant prevention of HIV infection.

Domestically violent and nonviolent male inmates' responses to their partners' requests for condom use: testing a social-information processing model
Article Abstract:
This article presents how prisoners react to their partners' requests for condom use. The role of path analysis and factors most likely to generate negative response are discussed.
