Attribute scatter and decision outcome: judgment versus choice
Article Abstract:
The factors affecting multiattribute decision outcomes are are analyzed. Results show that decision outcomes are determined by the scatter of attribute values. The judgment condition prefers the high scatter profile while the choice condition prefers the low scatter profile. Accept conditions also prefer high scatter in judgment compared to choice while little difference is found between the two in the reject condition.

Nonlinear models in decision making: the diagnosis of psychosis versus neurosis from the MMPI
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the results of MMPI use in domains other than the diagnosis of neurosis and psychosis reveals that incrementally valid nonlinear rules may or may not be found in other domains as the results are not generalizable. MMPI-based diagnosis is, however, valid and may be used to determine certain criterion in the likelihood of psychosis given certain nonlinear variables.
