Correlates of subjective stress among drug court clients

Article Abstract:

Characteristics of offenders who are at heightened risk for stress-induced-exacerbations of addictive behavior, as psychosocial stress is consistently found to promote initiation, intensification and relapse in drug abuse. Treatment interventions emphasizing effective coping styles and building of social support as well as managing of negative life events and perceptions of health may serve to lessen subjective stress and its consequences in drug-abusing criminal populations.

The association between multiple drug misuse and crime

Article Abstract:

The association between specific drug types and crimes is investigated that has intended to focus on the specific drug type in isolation from other drugs. The results revealed that both the number of drug types consumed and the particular drug type combinations used explained offending rate.

The role of religiosity in the opposition to drug use

Article Abstract:

The study investigates the casual mechanism linking religiosity to opposition to drug use. The result support that religiosity affects control attitudes indirectly through perceived immortality of drug use.
