Examining the structural validity of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) in a U.S. sample of custodial grandmothers

Article Abstract:

Examination of structural validity of parent version of Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) was done with grandmother as informants since number of grandparents taking responsibility of grandchildren is growing day by day. Strong internal reliability was found across all SDQ subscales and the pattern of relationship between the subscales supported the structural validity of SDQ.

The validity of dietary restraint scales: Comment on Stice et al.(2004)

Article Abstract:

Comments on studies performed by Stice et al(2004) in calculating the correlations between some widely used dietary restraint scales and food intake. A challenge is made on their conclusion in failing to find substantial negative correlations and thereby concluding that these scales were invalid.

Reliability and validity of the Yale Global Tie Severity Scale

Article Abstract:

The reliability and validity of Yale Global Tie Severity Scale (YGTSS) with Tourette's syndrome (TS) was investigated. The findings suggested that the YGTSS is a reliable and valid instrument for the assessment of pediatric TS.
