Fault-lines in community treatment order legislation
Article Abstract:
The article examines the role of capacity or competence principles in the legal criteria used to rule in involuntary mental disorder outpatient treatment cases in six Commonwealth jurisdictions. It is posited that coercion is not necessary to promote use of mental health services, and that clinicians should not be provided with such power.

Psychiatric assessment after every six years of the TBS order in the Netherlands
Article Abstract:
The article examines the practice in the Netherlands of assessing dangerous, mentally ill persons after a period of prison detention followed by treatment at a secure clinical facility. It is posited that the scarcity of adequately qualified exports may compromise the efficacy of the process.
