Environmental factors and related fluctuation of symptoms in children and adolescents with Tourette's disorder

Article Abstract:

A research conducted on the environmental factors influencing Tourette's disorders showed that the symptomatology fluctuates secondary to environmental factors. Some of the factors which had no impact on Tourette symptomatology included foods and weather, while events which caused anxiety and emotional trauma were associated with an increase in symptoms.

Practitioner review: psychological sequelae of head injury in children and adolescents

Article Abstract:

A study of children and adolescents is presented with emphasis on strategies to assess the importance of head injuries. The consequences of some head injuries can be severe and factors to consider such as the injury, the child and others are discussed.
