Genes and behavior: will genetic information change the way we see ourselves?
Article Abstract:
The technology in molecular genetics has helped scientists diagnose genetic disorders and map the genetic characteristics of an individual. However, there are sensitive issues surrounding the dissemination of information regarding one's genetic characteristics. An individual's knowledge regarding his genetic characteristics is bound to change his self-perception. The relationship between genetics and behavior is also proven as evidenced by the incidence of genetic influence on behavioral disorders.

Criminal behavior and mental disorder: impediments to assigning moral responsibility
Article Abstract:
Inadequacies in the public mental health care system are considered the main reasons for the criminal actions of the mentally ill. It is argued that the mentally ill commit crimes due to the lack of access to psychiatric care. It is also suggested that the development of a flexible system for individuated treatment is prevented by society's need to maintain effective social controls and protections for human liberty and due process.
