Group interventions for patients with cancer and HIV disease: Part IV. Clinical and policy recommendations

Article Abstract:

The clinical and policy recommendations for group interventions for patients suffering from cancer and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) disease are presented. For group interventions to be successful, it is important to have proper assistance, financial support, provide the required training to the staff and match the services as per the requirements of the patients.

Article Abstract:

The considerable reach of group interventions and the effects of professionally-led groups among patients with cancer or HIV disease, are reviewed. The results concerning the different types of group services at different phases of illness, broadens the understanding of intriguing mind-body interactions.

Article Abstract:

The effectiveness of group interventions led by professionals for individuals suffering from cancer or HIV is discussed. The psychosocial and functional outcomes for different interventions directed towards different patient subgroups, which highlight limitations are examined.
