Interspecific and temporal variation of ant species within Acacia drepanolobium Ant Domatia, a staple food of patas monkeys (Erythrocebus patas) in Laikipia, Kenya
Article Abstract:
A study to examine the ants that live in thorns Acacia drepanplobium as the staple food for patas monkeys, to understand the food choices of primates, is conducted. Results suggest that the ants Acacia drepanplobium do not rear significant brood in the swollen thorns and thus is not a major food item for patas monkey.

Article Abstract:
A study to assess the population of patas monkey in Laikipia District from Kenya using data collect in 1979-1981 and 1992-2004 is conducted. The continued existence of patas monkeys observed in the Laikipia is due to habitat with water and broad expanses of Acacia drepanolobium maintained by large-scale ranches.

Phylogeography and population structure of the golden monkeys (Rhinopithecus roxellana): inferred from mitochondrial DNA sequences
Article Abstract:
Studies related to genus of golden monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellana) and based on the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene 12S rRNA sequences are presented. Findings provide an insight into the genetic differentiation and the relationship among populations of R. roxellana.
