Rational choice and environment deterrence in the retention of mandated drug abuse treatment clients
Article Abstract:
A study on the analysis of the client retention data on long-term residential drug abuse treatment is presented. Analysis of the data shows that by instilling realistic hopes and job opportunities acts as deterrents against early termination of treatment.

Predicting recidivism in a communitarian society: China
Article Abstract:
The implications of communitarian feature of Chinese urban communities for prediction of recidivism are explored. The results indicate that social capital variables generally have significant effects.
