Marital conflict management skills, parenting style, and early-onset conduct problems: Processes and pathways

Article Abstract:

A study considered if the link between marital conflict management style and child conduct problems with peers and parents is direct or mediated by parenting style. Results suggest that a negative marital conflict management style was directly linked to children's conduct problems, and the link between negative marital conflict management and the interactions of children with parents and peers was mediated by critical parenting and low emotional responsivity.
