Maternal attributions and expressed emotion as predictors of attendance at parent management training

Article Abstract:

The examination of the casual attributions and emotional responses offered spontaneously by parents prior to embarking on parent management training (PMT) using a comprehensive, theoretically based methodology is represented. Results view that socio-economic factors should be viewed, as barriers to uptake of services and successful strategies for increasing engagement of families are likely to be economical rather than psychological.

The pitch of maternal voice: a comparison of mothers suffering from depressed mood and non-depressed mothers reading books to their infants

Article Abstract:

Depressed mothers are usually less attuned to their infants. Oral reading in such circumstances has shown to potentially lead the infant into self-regulatory patterns that could negatively affect the child's development.
