Meta-analytic review of marital therapy outcome research

Article Abstract:

This review examines the findings of 15 marital therapy studies. These studies found that behavioral marital therapy, cognitive behavioral and insight oriented marital therapy was better than no therapy. The therapist must encourage both the spouses to identify their problems and make an effort to improve it. Partner are made to communicate directly in order to promote emotional responses.

Daily occupational stressors and marital behavior

Article Abstract:

Daily fluctuations in marital behavior is examined as a function of it same-day job stressors using hierarchical linear modeling. Analysis suggests that spouses in high conflict families may be vulnerable to the effects of job stressors on marital interaction.
