A dental fear typology of oral surgery patients: matching patients to anxiety interventions
Article Abstract:
Two studies evaluating interventions to manage the fears of dental patients undergoing first-time oral surgery are discussed. Dental fear types among the patients were identified and matched to specific interventions.

Temporomandibular disorders: evidence for significant overlap with psychopathology

Significant psychopathology has been shown to be associated with temporomandibular disorders. The roles of mood and personality disorders, and the association of substance abuse with muscular disorders are discussed.
