Neuroendocrine regulation of prolactin secretion in adult female rhesus monkeys during different phases of the menstrual cycle: Role of neuroexcitatory amino acid (NMA)
Article Abstract:
The role of N-methyl-D, L-aspartate (NMDA) receptors in the central regulations of prolactin (PRL) secretion, which might be involved in ovarian function and its alteration by glutamate in various phases of the menstrual cycle of female rhesus monkeys (Macaca mulatta), is investigated. Results reveal that the N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMA)-induced release of PRL-releasing factors (PRF) and PRL are enhanced in the presence of ovarian feedback.

Limb growth in captive Galago senegalensis: Getting in shape to be an adult
Article Abstract:
A study that is carried out to determine whether Galago senegalensis braccatus follow the general primate pattern of decreasing intermembral index (IMI) on ontogeny is discussed. Mann-Whitney Wilcoxon rank-sum test shows that the IMIs of infants at the time of initial locomotor independence are higher than those of adult IMIs.

Pre-retirement predator encounters alter the morning behavior of captive marmosets
Article Abstract:
A study is made to ascertain the long-term effect that an encounter with a predator has on its prey. The analysis is conducted on two groups of callithrix geoffroyi under the snake model, cloth control and no-stimulus control.
