Personal and environmental factors associated with physical inactivity among different racial-ethnic groups of U.S. middle-aged and older-aged women

Article Abstract:

The personal, environmental, and program-based barriers to physical activity in US middle-aged women are discussed. The barriers included American Indian ethnicity, less education, older age, and lack of energy. Approximately 62% of respondents rated exercise with a personal trainer as more appealing than exercise in an instructor-led group.
