Psychometric evaluation of the restructured clinical scales of the MMPI-2

Article Abstract:

Conceptual overlap and heterogeneity were noted as weaknesses in the clinical scales of the Minnesota Multiple Personality Inventory's second edition (MMPI - 2). The Restructured clinical (RC) scales were developed to address these concerns since they were less intercorrelated, produced conceptually clearer relations with measures of personality and psychopathology, and yielded greater incremental utility than the clinical scales.

Empirical validation and psychometric evaluation of the Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale in patients with social anxiety disorder

Article Abstract:

Some psychometric properties of the Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (BFNE) that is often used to assess fear of negative evaluation, which is the core feature of social anxiety disorder, are examined in large samples of socially anxious patients. The results suggest that the standard scoring of the BFNE may not be optimal for patients with social anxiety disorder.

A study of the factor structure and screening utility of the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS) by analyzing 445 people with social anxiety disorder and 1,689 undergraduates is presented.
