Psychometric evaluation of trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder assessments in persons with severe mental illness
Article Abstract:
Research describing the psychometric characteristics of three standard methods for assessing trauma in mentally ill patients is presented. The methods are the Trauma History Questionnaire, the Clinician-Administered Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Scale and the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist.

Examining symptom expression as a function of symptom severity: item performance on the Hamilton rating scale for depression
Article Abstract:
Research describing the psychometric properties of the Hamilton rating scale for depression is presented. By means of a nonparametric item response model it is shown that depression should not be viewed as a simple continuum.
