Quantifying ADHD classroom inattentiveness, its moderators, and variability: a meta-analytic review

Article Abstract:

A meta analysis was carried out of classroom observation studies that compared classroom inattentiveness between children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and their typically developing (TD) peers. Results of the study confirmed that ADHD affected children were significantly more inattentive to required stimuli in the classroom compared to their peers.

Aiding diagnosis of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and its subtypes: discriminant function analysis of event-related potential data

Article Abstract:

Children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD) are reported to have different brain functioning than normal children. The results showed that for children between 8-12 years AD/HD can be separated with an accuracy of 73.3% and for adolescents aged 13-18 years, 58.7% accuracy of the control versus AD/HD subjects is classified.
