Response to Tehrani's comments regarding the Correctory
Article Abstract:
S. Muhammad M.J. Tehrani errs in his contention that psychotherapy must come before social treatment with the prisoner. Psychotherapy cannot be forced and is suitable only to those who want it and can pay for it. Moreover, there is a class of individuals for whom psychotherapy is useless, and adolescents who have started on a clear road to delinquency belong to this class. They will only understand and be influenced favorably by exposure to a new environment.

Comments on the Correctory
Article Abstract:
Raymond Corsini's suggestion of the Correctory as an alternative method of imprisonment has many virtues but leaves out the need for the inmate to successfully complete prison psychological services before being able to handle the freedom and responsibility of the Correctory's atmosphere. Limiting Correctory inmates to those who have reached a certain point in integration therapy seems a good idea.

Comments on "knowing when to say goodbye." (comment to B.H. Lerner, in this issue, p.508)
Article Abstract:
Fiction is not normally used in the discussion of ethical practice because authors tend to use details, comments and insights that would lead readers to a certain conclusion they favor. B.H. Lerner's short story resolves the issue of physician-assisted suicide in its final paragraph. The complexity of the problem cannot be fully addressed by he definitive solution presented by the author.
