Similarity in young women's eating attitudes: self-selected versus artificially constructed groups

Article Abstract:

Similarity in terms of eating attitudes, depression, and anxiety among new versus established groups of young women was explored. A sample of three hundred and thirty two students was studied and it was found that choice groups (living in choice apartments with a chosen housemate) held similar eating-related attitudes and depression levels than the no-choice group.

Parental bonding and bulimic psychopathology: the mediating role of mistrust/abuse beliefs

Article Abstract:

A determination of the development of unhealthy core beliefs due to the relationship between parental bonding and bulimic psychopathic is presented. The findings suggested that the development of mistrust/abuse beliefs is important in determining the effect that paternal overprotection has on bulimic attitudes.

Core beliefs and bulimic symptomatology in non-eating-disordered women: The mediating role of borderline characteristics
