Standardization of the Chinese MMPI-A in Hong Kong: A preliminary study
Article Abstract:
The Chinese Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-Adolescents (MMPI-A) was applied to a normative sample of male and female students aged between 14-18 in Hong Kong. T scores were based on the US adolescent norms and elevated over 1 SD on Scale 2, with similar elevations seen on Scale L (Lie) for female students and on Scale A-lse for male students. Cultural differences should be considered in clinical interpretations of elevated Chinese MMPI-A scores.
