The mobility gradient: useful, general, falsifiable?

Article Abstract:

The inadequacies of Ilan Golani's 'mobility gradient model' were pointed out in an attempt to question the universality of the concept. It was shown that the movement flow applies only to some vertebrates but not necessarily all mammalian species including man. It was further opined that Golani's model and Eshkol Wachman descriptions are either too detailed or inappropriate for many kinds of behavioral questions.

Heat-shock protein protection

Article Abstract:

The HSP70 heat shock protein and other chaperones help in the renovation of the structure and function of denatured proteins. Research have shown that heat shock and viral overproduction of HSP70 guards brain cells in vitro against injuries that result to necrosis and some kinds of apoptosis. Moreover, overproduction of HSP70 in vivo preserves the brain from from injury caused by ischemia and prolonged seizures.
