The debate on structured debate: toward a unified theory
Article Abstract:
Structured debate is believed to maximize conflict and lead to high-quality decisions through the evaluation of assumptions and inferences. Unfortunately, theoretical understanding of the concept is limited. Structured debate can be effectively examined by using a box-and-arrow model to create a theoretical framework of the subject. The model has argument structure, stimulus operationalization, subject training and sample for operational inputs, and debate effectiveness, learning and affect generated by debate for debate outputs.

States of affairs and states of mind: the effect of knowledge of beliefs
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to determine whether knowledge about beliefs cause people to behave as if others have access to these beliefs. Subjects are given privileged information about the value of a company and asked to predict the behavior of a buyer. Results show that the type of privileged information possessed by subjects influenced predictions of buyer behavior.

Testing credit and blame attributions as explanation for choices under ambiguity
Article Abstract:
Two experimental studies were conducted on choices between bets on the decision-maker's knowledge against bets on a lottery with similar chances of winning. The Heath and Tversky findings were partially duplicated in the first study. Knowledge and accountability are manipulated to induce credit and blame. The findings were replicated.
