Aggregate consumer expectation indexes as indicators of future consumer expenditures
Article Abstract:
Aggregate consumer expectation measures were shown to be more effective predictors of consumption behavior than economic indicators. A multivariate Vector autoregression analysis between such measures and the actual consumption showed that the consumer expectation indexes were more sensitive to anticipating future aggregate consumer expenditure levels. This is due to the inclusion of several sensitive consumption factors such as personal disposable income which dictate willingness to pay and other purchasing behavior measures.

Burnout, absenteeism, and the overtime decision
Article Abstract:
The problem of employee burnout was studied in a simple model which correlates attendance and the amount of overtime hours per day. Burnout results in substantial personal, organizational and social costs. The model predicts that within the context of a firm's cost minimization processes, absences due to burnout will result in lesser overtime per worker and the employment of more workers, thereby resulting in a distortion in the firm's labor cost function.
