Article Abstract:
Books are an important communication tool in the United States attracting huge partisan non-profit funding and proving to be very influential. The phenomenon is the result of pull and push factors in the production and consumption of political books, with popular dissatisfaction with the mainstream media in terms of fairness, accuracy and depth of political coverage, and promotion and funding from interested parties.
