Capturing academic Grey Literature - starting at home

Article Abstract:

The paucity of bibliographic access to Grey Literature is discussed in a case study of Portland State University (PSU) in which the Grey Literature produced on the PSU campus is investigated and the quality of the bibliographic access to it is assessed. The importance of articulating definition and scope of what is needed in a collection of Grey Literature is stressed with an additional emphasis that university libraries should first capture the scholarly literature produced on their own campus before housing externally produced literature.
