Article Abstract:
International Press Institute (IPI) defends South African journalist, Ranjeni Munusamy called by a Presidential Commission to reveal her confidential sources. The issue of the subpoena against Munusamy concerned a probe, commissioned by South African President Thabo Mbeki and chaired by former Court of Appeals Judge President Josephus Hefer, into allegations that Bulelani Ngcuka, the National Director of Prosecutions has investigated over whether he was an apartheid spy for the National Intelligence Agency in 1980.

Article Abstract:
A bewildering array of publications emerged in Baghdad with the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime. Younger aspiring journalists or returnees from abroad have offered far more creativity and initiative, and are enthusiastic to develop fresh approaches, however, several problems of content and intent persist amidst the exciting trend of media free-for-all.

Who made the decision to shoot?
Article Abstract:
The award winning journalist, Mazen Dana was shot dead by an American tank crew as he was filming outside the Abu Ghraib prison in western Baghdad. He was wrongly shot by the American soldier as they thought he was aiming Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher at them which was turned out to be a Reuters cameraman.
