Illustration today: a global forum

Article Abstract:

An examination of illustrators today shows the emergence of a new generation that blurs the boundaries between high-art as defined by work of those belonging to the Society of Illustrators and other kinds of illustration. The new arrivals as revealed by American Illustration dare to be personal and are angry, edgy, and hip. Nine periodical and newspaper art or illustration directors comment on what is happening in the world of illustration today.
