Media-friendly administration?

Article Abstract:

Colombian Vice President Francisco Santos Calderon, a journalist whose remarkable career reflects and illustrates well the dangers, challenges and problems that Colombia's media has experienced during the past century after he was kidnapped by a notorious drug trafficker and his effort to help the country's media is presented. It is concluded that there might be a lull in the violent assault on the Colombia media, but the conditions that make Colombian journalists target would remain for a long time and they would continue to do their job despite the dangers.

Dangerous reporting

Article Abstract:

Journalists are still looking for a sign from the Bangladesh government that improvements will be made in a country that is one of the world's most dangerous for journalist. The journalists are looking for a sign that the leaders of the country begin practicing what they preach where the press plays a big role in good governance and in protecting the country against corruption.
