Article Abstract:

The questions of journalism ethics that are dealt with in an ad hoc manner, where there are no general answers must be protected if a free press is to survive and the publics right to know is guaranteed. But certainly there are times when a reporter can give testimony involving crime or a death prevented by a reporters actions.

Journalism's chronic crisis: Corruption of its honesty

Article Abstract:

Intellectual corruption in the news business particularly plagiarism, photo manipulation and fakery are discussed. It involves a multitude of sins, including poor sourcing and manipulation of news for economic gain and also suggests that honesty problems go far beyond the worldwide plagiarism that is already documented.

Lessons of the empire press rate

Article Abstract:

Most of the international coverage by American journalists consists of events in Europe and Japan. The rest of Asia and Africa, South America, and Russia are largely ignored. This bias comes from the days when the US was a colony of England and news flowed freely to American from England.
